Staff at Brindley Volvo have got their whisks at the ready, as they prepare to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Team members at a Wolverhampton Volvo retailer have got their wooden spoons at the ready, as they prepare to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
On Friday 27 September, from 8.30am-12pm, Brindley Wolverhampton, on West Street, is inviting local people to pop in for coffee and cake, to help them raise money for Macmillan.
The first ever Macmillan Coffee Morning took place in 1990. This relatively small affair became a hugely successful national event, and has since raised over £200 million for the charity.
Team members at Brindley Wolverhampton are hoping that their homemade treats will tempt local people to help them raise even more money to support the millions of people suffering with cancer in the UK.
Peterjohn Durrell, Retailer Principal, said: “We are proud to host a Coffee Morning and thank Macmillan for their incredible work in supporting people affected by cancer.
“Cancer impacts everyone, either personally or through close friends, colleagues and relatives. It’s important for us to show our support and raise as much money as possible for such a worthy cause.
“We can’t wait to see what the people of Wolverhampton think of our star bakers, so we encourage them to come along for a slice of cake on 27th.”
