Here at the Brindley Group we are delighted to announce that we will be bringing the new and exciting Chinese car manufacturers OMODA and JAECOO to our dealership on Watling Street (A5) Cannock. As two of the newest car manufacturers in the world, they are making their debut in the UK this Spring, offering electric, hybrid and ICE vehicles, covering all customers' needs for the future of motoring here in the UK.

Let's take a look at both of these brands in more detail and see what they have to offer to the UK market.
If you keep up to date with the automotive industry then you may well be aware of OMODA's parent company, Chery; one of China's top ten manufacturers. However, it would be very understandable if you hadn't heard of OMODA. Being less than a year old, OMODA is one of the world's newest car brands planning on hitting the ground running by establishing itself within the UK car market.
OMODA is a futuristic crossover SUV brand that gets the most out of young people and currently has 2 vehicles to offer to the market with the C5 petrol SUV being the first model released and an electric variant in the E5 expected at a later date.
OMODA C5
Introducing the OMODA C5, a crossover SUV belonging to the C-segment rivalling those of a similar size. The striking front end consists of a large grille made up of individual diamond shapes and sleek horizontal T-shaped daytime running lights, whilst the LED headlights sit either side of the front grille completing the aesthetic of the front end.
The C5 has a futuristic, sculpted silhouette with the roofline slopes towards the rear of the car giving it a sporty coupe design with a spoiler hanging over the tinted rear window which in turn, reduces aerodynamic drag and reduces fuel consumption. The C5 features stylish rear LED lights connected via a thin panel across the width of the car which houses the OMODA logo and towards the bottom of the rear, you have dual exhausts which complete the OMODA C5's sporty SUV design.
The interior of the OMODA C5 has certainly been crafted with its passengers in mind, providing premium comfort with its spacious cockpit and heated/ventilated sports seats. However, the premium feel doesn't stop there. You are provided with two high quality 10.25-inch colour touchscreens with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality and a premium Sony sound system allowing both an entertaining yet relaxing journey. Wireless phone charging is also available with advanced ADAS driving systems which includes adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning and much more.
Prices for the OMODA C5 are believed to start from just £24,000, a luxurious SUV for just the fraction of the price of its market rivals.
The sister brand to OMODA, JAECOO is yet another sub-brand to Chery over in China. Similarly to OMODA, they are also expanding into the UK market, sharing a dealership with OMODA right here at the Brindley Group in Cannock.
A brand-new off-road brand, the name JAECOO derives from the German word "Jäger" and the English word "Cool". This combination is designed to highlight both off-road and urbanism whilst embodying a sophisticated style and high quality.
In the future, JAECOO plans to promote sustainability with all their new models by utilising new energy solutions to enhance off-road performance.
JAECOO 7
The first model that JAECOO are going to be bringing to the UK market is the JAECOO 7. This is an intelligent AWD SUV, that is designed to handle all terrains, making it a reliable and versatile choice for all. The design of the J7 is very striking and imposing starting with the ground clearance as this SUV sits 200mm off the ground giving the driver a clear, elevated view of the road. The bold theme continues with the front design of the vehicle with sleek rectangular headlights and a set of fog lights sitting either side of its large, bold grille. Whilst the J7 is a mid-sized SUV, it has a very sporty design, and it is evident to see from a side profile with its sloping roof towards the rear leading into its small overhanging spoiler above the rear window. At the rear of the car, you have a full width taillight bar with a unique chequered rear light design and the JAECOO 7 comes with stylish 19-inch glossy aluminium alloys that cap off the modern SUV design.
Now moving into the interior, it is very clean and simplistic. There are plenty of soft-touch materials on the dashboard, subtle ambient lights featuring throughout, multi-mode all-sense seats and a large 1.1m² panoramic sunroof all providing a comforting and welcoming interior. There are also various technologies inside the J7 that enhance the premium feel; a portrait 14.8-inch infotainment system houses your smart phone connection, navigation and climate control, a 50W fast charging wireless phone charger is provided with small air vents to keep your phone cool, and even an aircraft style gear shift handle features to help you feel in full control wherever the J7 takes you.
