We are absolutely delighted to announce that we have been selected as the official MG dealer for Wolverhampton. A huge selection of new MG models will now be available on the Brindley website, from the sporty supermini, MG3, to the family-ready compact SUV, MG ZS.

Set to open in July 2020, the new MG site will be located between our Wolverhampton Honda and Volvo dealerships on West Street, just off Stafford Road. A 10-car showroom awaits local residents, stocked with great, pre-owned MG cars for those looking to be part of the next chapter in the manufacturer's storied history. Inside, the Brindley team will be on hand with the same welcoming customer service and expert brand knowledge – guiding you through things with an automobile experience that's second to none in the area.

Group Managing Director, Che Watson, has explained the significance of the deal: “Partnering with an iconic British brand is a very proud moment for The Brindley Group and we’re delighted to be working with MG. Many of the models we will feature in our showrooms were designed and engineered just down the road in Longbridge, Birmingham – showcasing some of the finest feats of British engineering.

“We can’t wait to help the people of Wolverhampton and the surrounding Midlands area find their perfect MG. It’s very exciting to think there will soon be more cars carrying the iconic MG Octagon logo in the local area.”

Right now, this is a hugely promising time to join forces with MG, with the manufacturer having enjoyed a brilliant growth in sales, along with the addition of some exciting new models to its line-up. This year marks the first full season for the MG HS C-SUV and the fully-electric MG ZS EV – two highly-anticipated models that are set to hit the road very soon.

The partnership is particularly fitting too, with the journeys taken by MG and the Brindley Group sharing many similarities. Both businesses started in the 1930s, selling Morris cars. And when Bill Brindley started selling Morris cars from a wooden shed in Codsall in 1931, Cecil Kimber had been remodelling and retailing Morris cars in Oxford for a year.

Whilst MG moved their efforts into car production, the Brindley Group continued retailing motors from the most popular manufacturers of the day. The business was passed down from Bill Brindley to his son Robin who now serves as chairman, working alongside his stepson, Che Watson, ensuring it remains family-operated after nearly 90 years.

As we move into a new generation of automotive design and driving, with emerging technologies and capabilities, we are delighted to be taking this journey with MG as one of our prized partners.

Combined with Brindley Direct, our new online car-buying service, the Brindley and MG partnership is great news for car buyers in the Midlands. Not only will customers have the chance to own a model from the iconic manufacturer, they can benefit from The Brindley Group’s incredible customer service throughout the process, as they take to the road towards their new MG purchase.

We will continue to keep you updated with the latest news regarding this soon-to-be-opening site, so keep checking back on the Brindley blog.
