The XPENG brand can actually be pronounced in a couple of different ways. In Mandarin, of course, it sounds correctly as "shao-peng," and the "X" here puts the "sh" in, while in the English-speaking territories, it can also come out as "ex-peng" or even "ex-pung." The two are very much recognised, even if the brand itself came from the initial Chinese brand name, Xiaopeng.
