With the IONIQ 9, Hyundai has set out to redefine what drivers expect from an electric SUV. As a seven-seater with three rows of seats, it offers generous space for anyone who needs it, whether that’s families or one-the-road salespeople.
Its all-electric powertrain delivers exceptional efficiency and power, with three configurations available. The Long Range RWD version offers a 160kW rear motor, while the Long Range AWD adds a 66kW front motor alongside the same 160kW rear motor. For those who want maximum performance, the Performance AWD variant features dual 157kW motors for fast acceleration and better handling.
Drivers can expect a range of up to 385 miles (WLTP), making the IONIQ 9 ideal for long-distance travel. When it is time to recharge, the model’s 350kW DC ultra-rapid charging capability allows a 10% to 80% charge in just 24 minutes, just enough time to grab a coffee and go to the loo during long trips.
The IONIQ 9 also impresses when it comes to practicality. The RWD variant can tow up to 1,600kg, but the AWD takes this a step further with a tow capacity of up to 2,500kg. Its trailer mode automatically detects the weight of what is being towed and adjusts the predicted range accordingly, providing convenience and confidence on every journey.
Hyundai has adopted a bold new ‘aerosthetic’ design philosophy for the IONIQ 9, combining aerodynamic efficiency with sleek, futuristic styling. The result is an SUV that looks both powerful and elegant, with a wide stance, clean surfaces and sculpted lines that enhance its road presence.

Comfort isn’t much use without practicality, which is why the IONIQ 9 added so many convenience features. Even with all seats upright, the boot capacity stands at 338 litres, enough for four golf bags or three full-sized 25-inch suitcases. Folding down the second and third rows expands the available space to a remarkable 2,494 litres in the six-seat Calligraphy trim, providing flexibility for families, luggage or sports equipment.
Technology plays a central role in the IONIQ 9. The panoramic curved display and floating dashboard create a clean, futuristic aesthetic, complemented by ambient interior lighting with 64 selectable colours. High-definition digital mirrors, a surround view monitor, and a blind-spot view monitor complement safety and situational awareness.
