Brindley is proud to welcome the Chery brand to its Midlands dealerships. The Chinese brand adds even more affordable options to drivers across the UK, with two SUVs included in the launch lineup.
The new Chery showroom will open on Penn Road in Wolverhampton, in what was Brindley’s Hyundai location, which will then relocate to the Motor Village site on West Street, just off Stafford Road. Chery will open for business the week commencing 8th December, with a full refurbishment planned for early 2026.
Chery was founded in 1997, and since then has grown into the fourth largest vehicle manufacturer in China, producing over two million cars per year and employing almost 50,000 people.
The Chery brand encapsulates the following key principles: Green, Technology, Family, and Companionship. The brand’s commitment to green energy is seen through the electric and hybrid cars, under the Chery New Energy brand. Usable, innovative technology is elegantly designed into Chery’s cars, making the driving experience safe, convenient, and connected.
The brand also encompasses Jaecoo and Omoda, which have also recently launched onto UK roads.

Chery has launched with two cars currently available in the UK. Both SUVs, the Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 do have some distinct differences.
Firstly, the Tiggo 8 is larger, seating up to seven people, whereas the Tiggo 7 will seat five, which gives drivers flexibility when selecting their new car.
Both cars are equipped with a suite of safety features, such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane-Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and a 360° parking camera.
