Since 2021, when Kia launched the EV6, the manufacturer has been steadily expanding its range to include vehicles that can meet the needs of a plethora of drivers.
The latest in Kia’s range of electric cars is the EV3, the younger brother of the EV6 and EV9, but there’s still plenty to learn about this feisty little car.
The winner of the World Car of the Year 2025, the Kia EV3, has set very high standards for itself. Launched in May 2024, it’s a bite-sized SUV that comfortably handles everything modern life can throw at you thanks to its capable electric motor with impressive range, size that comfortably seats 5 people, and a boot that can carry a couple of large suitcases with room to spare.
Thanks to a 58.3 kWh battery unit for the entry-level Air model or an 81.4 kWh unit available across the entire lineup, the Kia EV3 offers a range of between 267 miles and 361 miles, depending on the chosen battery size.
The spacious cabin is complemented by a large sunroof, opening up the car to the rest of the world and letting in ample light.
The elegance of the car’s design is finished off with sleek, flush door handles that pop out when the driver gets near with the key or a phone with the Kia App connected.
With a range of colours to choose from, you can make the Kia EV3 truly your own. From stunning Sunset Orange, to a refined Lithium Silver, there’s something for everyone.
The EV3’s elegant design doesn’t stop on the outside - it continues inside with premium features coming as standard.
The car features a heated steering wheel to keep your hands toasty during the winter, alongside heated seats in the front of the cabin. The comfort doesn’t stop there, though, because Kia has fitted the EV3 with relaxation seats: seats that recline almost horizontally so that passengers can really relax during long journeys.
It’s tech galore in the cabin with features like wireless charging and a 5.3” climate control screen to get the temperature just right, not to mention the LED lights that illuminate the luggage area.
The tech in the Kia EV3 isn’t just for convenience, it also provides an incredible amount of safety for drivers.
The highway assist feature helps drivers maintain a safe following distance, speed, and lane position on motorways. The car is also fitted with anti-collision functionality, which uses a series of radar sensors to detect a collision and help drivers avoid it.
Or maybe it’s just that you’d like the car to get into a spot that’s too tight for you to squeeze out of, simply hop out and tell the car to park using the Kia App.
The Kia EV3 is priced competitively when compared to similarly sized and equipped vehicles in its class.
The starting price is £32,215 for the base Air model, with prices going up to £43,115 for the top-of-the-line GT-Line S with heat pump that takes the range up to 361 miles.
