Job Introduction:

The Brindley Group, a Family-owned business, has operated from the same premises for over 10 years, serving our local communities in West Bromwich. Located in a central convenient area.

Our unique environment has been constantly evolving over time, whilst maintaining a stable team who are focused on delivering excellent service. We are now expanding our business to include Kia Rental which is an innovative, equally successful dealer rental programme with an ambitious mobility strategy, and we are now looking to recruit a Rental Manager to launch and manage this exciting new venture.

The Rental Manager’s primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth day to day operation of the rental department. You will be responsible for the growth and profitability of the department through the development of sales to both retail and corporate customers, whilst ensuring you deliver excellent customer service.

About the role:

  • Dealing with the general public and corporate clients both on the phone and in person
  • Processing payments and ID checks correctly
  • Monitor daily reports, vehicle availability, utilisation, etc.
  • Resolving problems and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Identify new potential sales areas
  • Production of business plans and strategies and any other planning associated with the rental development
  • Vehicle status management /weekly audit of vehicles
  • Administration of maintenance on rental fleet
  • Action local marketing/advertising strategy
  • Budget and P&L management

About you:

  • Previous experience in rental role is essential
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal departments and senior management.
  • Must hold a clean UK driving licence
  • Have a strong customer service ethic with great people skills
  • Be positive and have a sales focused attitude
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Excel
