Parts Assistant

Job Description

We are currently looking to recruit a parts assistant to join the team at both of our busy Honda and Hyundai sites in West Bromwich.

We require a highly detail orientated individual, with an outgoing personality to help build relationships with customers and colleagues. The Parts Assistant will liaise with both customers and workshop technicians whilst under the supervision of a parts advisor to deliver effective solutions and advice. This role is ideal for those with good communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate sound technical knowledge to ensure customers receive the highest quality service and advice.

Previous experience in this role would be advantageous, however, not required as all on-site training will be provided.

Due to the nature of the work, the candidate must also hold a clean, full UK driving license.

About the role

• Liaise with customers and technicians
• Work under the supervisions of a parts advisor to deliver solutions and advice.
• Deliver the highest quality service and advice to our customers
• Handle customers enquires swiftly, courteously and efficiently
• Ensure the parts storage area is kept orderly, tidy and safe to work in
• Maintain stock, ensuring that quantities match and damages are recorded accurately
• Salary based on experience

About you

• The ability to quickly establish and build rapport with our customers
• You must have a basic understanding of mechanical repair and have an excellent eye for detail
• You must be able to work well within a team
• Have a strong ability to manage own workload
  
• You must own a full UK driving licence.
