The All-New IONIQ 5 is among the very first cars in the world to come with an 800-volt battery system, allowing lightning-fast charging. With support for up to 232kW electric-charging, IONIQ 5 can zoom from 10% charged to 80% in just 18 minutes - and it can just as happily support 11kW overnight charging at home.
The IONIQ 5 is the first model to benefit from Hyundai's new E-GMP platform. The result of years of development, this platform is key to many of the cars advanced characteristics, such as it's increased range and ultra-fast charging. You'll be able to choose between rear wheel drive or four wheel drive configurations.
The E-GMP platform is designed especially for electric cars, which means that space can be used more innovatively - both under the bonnet and in the cabin.
The IONIQ 5 also offers more room in the boot and more passenger legroom, and above all, high levels of safety structural integrity.

The sharp 45 degree angles at the front and rear that give the car a diamond-shaped silhouette, hinting at the design direction of future electric cars from Hyundai. The cars profile is defined by an aerodynamic and self-supporting design. It's frame and body form an integrated structure, and the outer shell without posts carries even the greatest load.
