Upon its launch in the UK, the MG3 Hybrid will be available in two specifications, both equipped with MG's all-new Hybrid+ powertrain. This innovative hybrid system has overseen extensive research and development, boasting a larger battery and a more powerful electric motor in comparison to its rivals within the hybrid B-segment market.

Whilst the all-new MG3 Hybrid+ has enhanced dimensions and generous spaciousness, it still retains its signature compact design which has always made it a fantastic choice for those mainly covering urban driving routes. The interior of the MG3 Hybrid+ matches the best-in-class thanks to its high levels of equipment and space.

State-of-the-art Hybrid+ Powertrain

The All-New MG3 Hybrid+ features MG's Hybrid+ powertrain and is the first conventional, non-plug-in hybrid system fitted to an MG model. Consisting of 5 key elements - engine, transmission, battery, electric motor and generator - this system prioritises efficiency whilst still delivering exceptional performance. With a 0-62mph of 8.0 seconds and an extensive electric-only driving range, not only provides class-leading performance figures for a hybrid B-segment hatchback, but also allows for flexible running no matter the driving environment.

Dynamic Handling and Refinement

The all-new MG3 offers a dynamic driving experience, as well as high levels of comfort, thanks to the collaborative work that MG’s engineers in both Europe and China have put in, fine-tuning the chassis and suspension for different markets.

With compact proportions and an agile set-up, the MG3 offers a refined drive but keeps MG’s ‘fun-to-drive’ ethos at its core. It benefits from the use of new ultra-high stiffness components in the chassis, while suspension elements have been designed to reduce weight and improve grip for both athletic handling and a comfortable ride.

As well as offering an ideally balanced set-up between comfort and dynamism, thanks in part to the new hybrid powertrain with its ability to run on electric power for short periods, the all-new MG3 also delivers new highs in refinement and noise suppression. Engineers have focused on engine and suspension mounts, sound absorbing materials, and transmission design to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness to provide a premium driving experience.

Technology and Equipment

The All-New MG3 Hybrid+ will arrive in the UK with two specifications available to customers - SE and Trophy. A standard feature on the interior would be the twin-screen cockpit, drivers have a 7-inch digital driver's display as well as an enhanced 10.25-inch central infotainment system. Satellite navigation is included as standard, alongside smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features within the All-New MG3 Hybrid+ include a 6-speaker audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, four USB ports, and rear parking sensors and camera. Higher trim levels include leather-style upholstery, keyless entry, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a 360° view parking camera on the central infotainment system.

MG's focus on safety continues with the All-New MG3 with the inclusion of the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and MG Pilot technology, such features include Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and much more.

A New and Contemporary Look

The All-New MG3 Hybrid+ has been overgone a complete design overhaul and is now both longer and wider than the model it replaces, therefore, allowing for a much more spacious interior for all passengers. Whilst offering a spacious interior, the MG3 also has the largest boot capacity in the hybrid B-segment class.

Designed by MG's Shanghai studio, the all-new MG3 exudes modernity and sophistication. With a range of styling options and vibrant paint schemes to choose from, including Arctic White, Dynamic Red, and Black Pearl, customers can personalise their MG3 to reflect their individual tastes.
