Are rental cars insured?

Yes, all Kia rental cars are insured, subject to satisfactory customer qualification.

Can I add a driver to my rental car?

Yes, you can add a driver to your rental car, as long as they satisfy our usual insurance qualifications.

Can someone else return my rental car?

Yes, someone else can return your rental car but only if they're a qualified additional on the rental agreement.

Can you get a rental car with a provisional license?

No, you must have a full, valid driver's license in order to rent a car for business or pleasure.

Can you take rental cars abroad?

As a rule, yes, you can take rental cars abroad. However, this is subject to additional paperwork and additional costs, and is at the dealer's discretion. Please contact us to learn more.

How do I report damage to a rental car?

At the time of collection, we advise all hirers to report any damage or accidents via the Towergate First Call app. Using the app, you can report directly to the insurer, rental location and insurance broker.

Is there VAT on rental cars?

Yes, drivers do pay VAT on rental cars. The breakdown of this should be included on your invoice.

Can I drop off my rental car early?

What do I need for car rental?

When you rent a car with Kia, please bring a valid driver's license and a credit or debit card in the hirer's name. We also need an additional ID, less than 3 months old, in the hirer's name to confirm the address. Please note that we don't accept mobile phone bills. 

Can I switch my rental car?

If you require a vehicle change for whatever reason, we may be able to accommodate you. However, this may be subject to additional charges if a larger group is required. 

If you do wish to switch your rental car, please speak to a member of our staff.

Will I need to pay a deposit?

Yes, security deposits are taken for all bookings by a debit/credit card. This is fully refundable on return provided the vehicle is in the same condition when returned.

Do I need to put fuel in the vehicle when I return it?

Rentals must be returned with the same amount of fuel as at check-out.

Will I have breakdown cover?
