Kia UK Limited has revealed full pricing and specifications for the Kia EV6 model line-up today, ahead of UK customer deliveries starting later this year.
The EV6 is the first Kia based on the company’s new dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), exclusively powered by electric energy. Every UK model features a long-range 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack and ultra-fast 800V charging capabilities. This allows the EV6 to charge from 10-80 per cent in as little as 18 minutes from the fastest chargers.
Pricing for the rear-wheel drive 226bhp EV6 starts from £40,895, which also sets the standard equipment for all models including: a curved panoramic display with twin 12.3-inch touchscreens across the dashboard; Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration; Kia’s ‘connected car’ UVO Connect.
The sports-inspired EV6 GT-Line is the next grade up, which comes complete with sports-inspired design and a choice of two powertrains. Prices start from £43,895 for 226bhp rear-wheel drive models and £47,395 for the impressively powerful 321bhp twin-motor all-wheel drive variants. This model comes with a host of upgrades over the base-level EV6, including Premium relaxation seats that fully recline and a new and innovative vehicle-to-load (V2L) function that enables the EV6 GT-Line to be used as a giant battery pack to power almost anything with a three-pin plug.
Customers stepping up to the GT-Line S models gain even more additional standard equipment, with pricing starting from £48,395 for the rear-wheel drive and £51,895 for the all-wheel drive variant. This model comes with an abundance of premium equipment including larger 20-inch alloy wheels, ventilated and heated front seats, heated outer rear seats, a power tailgate and a panoramic sunroof to name but a few. In addition, this car gets a stunning sound system courtesy of its 14-speaker Meridian audio system.
Last but not least is the Kia EV6 GT. This high-performance electric car boasts a 577bhp twin-motor all-wheel drive powertrain that is sure to excite. Putting its power on the road are 21-inch wheels combined with electronically controlled suspension and an electronic limited-slip differential. This is a drivers’ car and features sports bucket seats, trimmed in black suede with neon green highlights. Additional technology installed includes an efficient battery heat pump.
UK customer deliveries of the new Kia EV6 will commence from October 2021 for baseline, GT-Line and GT-Line S models.
Leading the line-up, the high-performance EV6 GT model will feature all-wheel drive as standard when the first models are delivered to UK customers in the second half of 2022.
