Power, Fun and Efficiency The carefully matched components of the electric powertrain have been engineered to provide excellent driving characteristics and a practical everyday driving range of up to 300 miles. The KONA Electric's lithium-ion polymer battery has a lower memory sensitivity and excellent charge efficiency compared to conventional batteries.

Leading the Charge The KONA Electric offers a range of charging options to assist charging at home or at charging stations whilst on-the-go. When using a 50kW direct current (DC) rapid charging station, the KONA Electric's battery takes about 48 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% for the 39kWh battery and 64 minutes for the 64 kWh battery. You also have the option to charge at home overnight through either a conventional household socket or a wall-mounted charging point.

Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist Nothing’s more important than the safety of your loved ones, so the KONA Electric has received an upgrade with advanced driver assistance features from Hyundai SmartSense. Amongst this enhanced suite is Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist which uses two radar sensors to warn you of traffic in the blind spot area. Should you set the turn indicator in such a situation, it will sound an acoustic alert and brake to prevent collision if necessary.
