Cannock is home to one of the UK’s largest war memorial cemeteries. The cemetery itself is made for the German soldiers that lost their lives in either WW1 or WW2. The atmosphere at the cemetery is special, it acts as a benchmark for peace between the two sides after what was an awful ordeal. If you’re a fan of British history then you won’t want to give this a miss!
The Prince of Wales Theatres are situated all across the UK. There happens to be one in Cannock too! They are home to some fantastic performances, in 2017 they showed productions such as: Big Girls Don’t Cry and a comedy night by Ken Dodd. The theatre itself is located in the centre of Cannock and its right next to the Cannock shopping centre so you can make a day trip out of it. There’s something for everyone on at the theatre so don’t be shy and grab yourself a ticket if you find yourself visiting!
The UK is known worldwide for its traditional public houses and bars. The Hen House is no exception to this, they offer a wide range of fantastic pub grub and cask ales. The Hen House is located just outside of the city so it is no usually troubled by local traffic. The Hednesford Hills Nature reserve is also right next to the Hen House which is a great place for a family day out!
The Station Bar is a music venue situated in Cannock. It features a lot of tribute acts from the surrounding area and receives great praise from the residents of Cannock. The Station is found on the Stafford road so it is right in the middle of the city, you can visit the station on a Friday or Saturday night from 7:30pm-2:00am. So if you’re in Cannock for the weekend, why not pop in for a boogie?
